Wesley "Alvin" Dahn

Alvin Dahn, age 5, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. He was born on May 19, 2020, in Des Moines, Iowa, the beloved son of Mabel Jilo.

Alvin loved playing outside and would often spit water into the air just to feel it fall back onto his face. He enjoyed food—especially pizza and rice. He was in kindergarten at South Prairie Elementary in Grimes, Iowa, where he liked going to school and being around his classmates.

He is survived by his mom, Mabel Jilo; brothers, Omega Pyne, Alpha Rice, and Alvis Jilo; sister, Alphonsia Jilo; and grandma, Mary Chegbu.

Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery.
