Viola May Nelson

Viola May Nelson, 78, passed away on February 12, 2024 at Taylor House-Unity Point Hospice. She was born on September 23, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Elvira Shelby.

Viola worked in the dry-cleaning business. She loved Elvis. Viola was a loving person and loved animals of all kinds.

Viola is survived by her son, Dan Nelson; grandchildren, Danny, Melissa, Roy and Joe Nelson along with extended family and special friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Roy Nelson and parents, John and Elvira Shelby.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa.
