Victorene Payton

Victorene Martha Payton, 96, passed away on March 7, 2024 in Greenfield, Iowa. She was born on September 5, 1927 to Charles and Mabel (Martin) Summers.

Victorene was a member of First United Methodist Church in Indianola. She retired from Ferrellgas after many years of dedicated service. Victorene was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Cubs baseball fan.

Victorene is survived by her nieces and nephews, Barb Hauschildt, Donna Sampson, Russ Berndt, Charles Pilcher and Linda Quillian. Along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sisters, Violet Pilcher, Lois Berndt and Thelma Shinn and niece, Wanda Fitzpatrick.

A Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa.
