Vickie Breese
October 12, 1948 — June 26, 2024
Vickie Breese, 75, passed away at her home on June 26, 2024.
Vickie was born October 12, 1948, in Spring Hill, Iowa to Kenneth and Shirley (McGuire) Blackford. She met the love of her life, Cloyd “Tony” Breese on a double date, in which when first asked if she would like to go, she responded, “let me think about that”. One and a half years later, several drive-in movies and evenings scooping the loop, Tony asked her to marry him, in which again she responded, “let me think about that”. Tony and Vickie were married for 59 years and together in 1986, with their sons, they started Breese Family Tae Kwon Do.
She enjoyed gardening, and never let the weather come between her and her flower gardens. Vickie was an avid reader, Stephen King and John Grisham were two of her favorite authors. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her toy poodle, Bella. Vickie treated Bella like the daughter she never had and they went everywhere together. She was a mother to everyone and touched many lives. Vickie will be remembered as a real spitfire and beautiful inside and out.
Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Tony; son, Tom; daughters-in-law, April Breese and Wendy Breese; grandchildren, Kelsie Searcy, Anthony Breese, Alexandra Breese, Levi Breese and Colby Breese; great-grandchildren, Aiden Breese, Mason Breese, Bentley Breese and Nova Breese; brother, Randy Blackford; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert and Tony Breese; brothers, Kenny and Denny Blackford; and her sisters, Linda, Marilyn and Saundra Blackford.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Faith Assembly of God Church, 6001 SW 14th Street from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Dear Vickie,
I will miss you and Bella stopping to visit Mom (and I) so very many times over the years. Your kindness and concern, hugs and laughter will never be forgotten. Your family loves you and will always remember your love for each of them. I know you were saddened to leave, but also know you were greeted by your sons and family as you left this earth. Godspeed neighbor.
