Ton Ly, 64, passed away on February 4, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medial Center in Des Moines. He was born in Phu Quoc, Vietnam on December 31, 1960 to Xoang Xe Ly and Gai Thi Nghiem.

Ton’s voyage to the United States came from immigrating from Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. He lived in Georgia for 16 years until 2003 when he came to and settled in Iowa to be closer to his family. Ton enjoyed watching YouTube videos, football – favorite team, Dallas Cowboys and fishing.

Ton is survived by his wife, Thanh Kim Nguyen; children, Kieu Ly (Shark Baccam), Tony Ly (Thuong Vu) and Ken Ly; grandchildren, Scarlett Baccam and Roman Baccam; grand fur babies, Alli and Panda; siblings, Do Ai Ly, Hen Truong Ly, To Ai Ly and Hai Truong Ly.

Family will greet guests Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Following visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
