Timothy Allen Simmer

Timothy Allen Simmer, 63, passed away on April 17, 2024. He was born on April 19, 1960 in Garnavillo, Iowa to Dennis and Bernice (Chitty) Simmer.

Tim grew up in Polk City, Iowa. He owned Tim’s Time Out. Tim enjoyed mushroom hunting, playing pool, fishing, cooking and hunting.

Tim is survived by his longtime partner, Sherri Hiatt; children, Denni Simmer, Jobe (Sydney) Hinders, Dan Simmer, Shae (Kenton) Brekke, TJ (Brook) Hiatt and Tanner Hiatt; grandchildren, Keagin, Willow, Everleigh, Caden, Mason, Macklin, Benjamin, Emmersynn, Ivylynn and Wrenynn; mother, Sue Simmer; brother, Daryl (Tamii) Simmer; aunt, Coleen Deets, along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Simmer and best friend, John Burchett.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., at the American Legion Post 232, 114 W. Broadway St., Polk City, Iowa.
