Thomas James Holmes
of Des Moines, Iowa

Thomas Holmes, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines with his daughters by his side. He was born the son of Glen and Nancy Holmes on October 2, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Tom grew up in Des Moines where he played baseball and liked to ride his dirt bike. He graduated from North High School. He was a big fan of NASCAR and watching boxing. He loved to play pool. He loved his dog Pepper and cat Coco.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving daughters Ashley Holmes (Joey Madewell) and Christina Holmes, his grandsons Kane Cheevers, and Kendell Holmes. His granddaughters Jordynn Fortner, Serenity and Trinity Holmes, his sister Janet Weeks, his brothers Danny (Sherri) Holmes, Tim (Rose) Holmes, and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Nancy Holmes. His brother in-law Denny Weeks.

No formal services will be held.
