I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I was his Principal for his last few years at North Polk. He was an excellent teacher, well organized and liked by everyone. He will be missed greatly.

Dear Rebecca, and Terry's children. I grew up caddy corner from Terry's home in Delhi. He was 6 years older than I, but I so admired him. My sister, Karen, would have loved to have connected with him more in their adult lives, as she graduated one year later than Terry. He was a childhood friend who was well loved and cherished. My sincerest condolences for your loss.

I was a student of Mr. Holdridge's at Ankeny H.S. I found his Psychology class very interesting. So much that when I went to college I was prepared for the college course. My condolences to his family.

I was a colleague of Terry's at Ankeny High School and am saddened to hear of his death. It was a joy and privilege to know and teach with him. Through the years, he held several leadership positions, including Chief Negotiator for the Ankeny Education Association, Social Studies Department Chair and served on many committees.
Most importantly, Terry was a friend and mentor to AHS staff, and a dedicated and caring teacher to AHS students. Terry was enthusiastic, energetic and positive, and he helped make AHS a wonderful welcoming place for all.

I taught with Terry at AHS from 1987-2000. I also helped him with his tech for his Stamps and Coins business. I felt he was a good friend on mine. Always smiling and enthusiastic with an infectious laugh. He was an excellent teacher who motivated his students and had fun sharing with his student items from the daily newspaper, called his "tid-bits of news" ( I think that is what he called it). He was an excellent teacher union contract negotiator for many years.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Holdridge's death. He was a favorite teacher of my mine when I attended North Polk high School. He always had a lot of energy and a big smile on his face. Seem like a very positive guy. I'm glad I got to talk to him at our 55th class reunion. He shared with me then that he was not in good health. I pray for comfort for the family

Mr. Holdridge was our teacher at North Polk High School. What a wonderful teacher, friend and person. He taught us sociology and history, but his best gift was teaching us about life. Blessings to his family and friends.
