Susan Marie Bryant

Susan Marie Bryant, 62, of Ankeny, Iowa, lost her courageous 1-year battle with cancer on March 31, 2024.

She was born to Mary Jane and Robert Warren Lythgoe in Akron, Ohio.

Sue was an avid Patriots and Iowa Hawkeyes Fan. She was a loyal employee of West Bank for over 30 years, in which she worked her way up in the company to be the 2nd Vice President.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents.

Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Jerry Bryant; 4 loving children, Mark Bowlsby (Karina Kisner), Jese Eastburn (Tim Eastburn), Emile Wickings (Patrick Wickings) and Jerry Jr. “JD” Bryant, as well as 3 cherished grandchildren, Naomi, Ruby and Wesley.

Family will greet guests on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children, in loving memory of Sue.
