Stanley "Dale" Borchardt

Stanley “Dale” Borchardt, passed away peacefully at Stratford Specialty Care in Stratford, Iowa on November 18, 2023 after a long illness. Dale was born on August 28, 1948 in Ogden, Utah.
Dale graduated high school in Brownton, Minnesota and attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall Minnesota.
Dale worked in sales most of his adult life. He sold plywood, large truck parts, real estate and parts for municipal equipment at various times. In his free time, he enjoyed nice cars and fast motorcycles, road trips, watching races and socializing with friends. His last pet was a hedgehog named “Partner”.
Dale is survived by his brother, Charles (Judy); nephews, Jeffrey (Wanda), Daniel (Colleen), Wesley (Stacy); half-sister, Debra (Darvin) Landgraf; foster brother, Bob (Jan) Kreie; special friends, Tony (Samantha) Walstrom, Ricky (Sandy) Bullock, Rodney (Mary) Rederus, along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Barbara Borchardt and foster parents, Vergil and Irma Kreie.
Family will greet friends on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa

Dale I meet when I went to work At PBE. He in Iowa me in Minnesota. Our friendship really started when we went to a Areoquip hose and fitting class. We learned a little but partied more. He liked his Dodge dually but motorcycles more. When PBE went away we kind of lost track but one Christmas many years ago Dale called to wish me Merry Christmas from then on every year we talk sometimes for an hour or more. Will miss it this year. RIP buddy
