Sharon Beerman, 78, passed away on October 16, 2025 at Edencrest at Timberline in Urbandale, Iowa. She was born on July 18, 1947 to Brian and Elaine Wadsworth.

Sharon was a devoted Christian with a strong and enduring faith. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in downtown Des Moines, where she found great joy and fellowship. A talented and creative spirit, Sharon loved crafting, quilting, and cross-stitching, and she had a passion for traveling. She also found deep fulfillment in her career as a chemistry teacher, where she inspired many students with her knowledge and enthusiasm.

Sharon is survived by her children, Matthew Beerman and Elizabeth Beerman along with an extended host of loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Dennis Wadsworth and Jenee Ihde.

Family will greet guests on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Sharon will be laid to rest at Bondurant Cemetery in Bondurant, Iowa.
