Stanley Ross Eller, 84, passed away on November 14, 2023, at his home. Stanley was born September 5, 1939, in Kendalville, Indiana to Lloyd and Elfeda (Yohely) Eller.
Stanley had a strong work ethic, he worked many years at Preston Safeway as a butcher and furthered his career with other organizations such as SuperValu, Easter Foods, and Nash Finch Company as District Meat Supervisor.
Stanley loved being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Missy. Stanley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared the same love with his community of friends, neighbors, congregation, and acquaintances. He will be sorely missed.
Stanley is survived by his children, Shelley (Ray) Macy, Pam Coates, Kim (Bill) Riley, Mitch (Kathy) Barkdull, Dee Manor, and Dori (Andy) Luke; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith Eller; daughter, Lea Leveque, and sons, Steve Faux and Stan W. Eller.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2023 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Stanley.
