Robert “Bob” John Larson, 77, passed away on August 20, 2024 at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He was born on March 17, 1947 to Ted and Helen (Sonquist) Larson.
Bob was enlisted in the Navy at 17 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Graduated for Des Moines Tech High School in 1965. After his service he attended Georgia Tech University. He married Deb in June of 1979 and spent most his life working as a appliances and electronics technician and manager for Montgomery Ward and then the United States Post Office. In their retirement years Bob and Debbie moved from their home in Des Moines to Bondurant to be closer to their family. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren sports and activities and was always their biggest fan. He also enjoyed fishing and could always find a way to fix anything anyone needed help with.
Bob is survived by his wife, Deb. Daughters Amy Gilroy Bondurant, IA Megan Kula, Bondurant, IA. Lisa (Matt) Martin Bondurant, IA Grandchildren Riley Gilroy, Kolby Gilroy, Lydia Martin, Skylar Kula, Macey Gilroy, Zach Martin, Ryker Kula all of Bondurant.
He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Taylor Kula.
Family will greet guests on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at American Legion Post 396, 315 2nd Street NW, Bondurant, Iowa. A funeral service will follow a 2:00 p.m., at the American Legion Post.

I will never forget how Bob hopped on my Harley Davidson without skipping a beat and took off like he was a young man on a dirt bike! Gone too soon. We love you all. Angel/Tammy and Jenna
