Reagan Scott Wheatly, 46, passed away on July 7, 2024 unexpectedly. He was born on June 20, 1978 in Des Moines to Jerry and Shirley Wheatly.
Reagan was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to all he knew. Reagan enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his children. Reagan loved being an Ironworker and was passionate in all he did. Reagan was proud to be part of the Ironworkers Local 67. Reagan knew how to make everyone laugh.
Tauer…” My dad taught me everything I know to this day, how to fish, hunt, play basketball, and more importantly he taught me how to be a man and I will miss him more than anything in this whole world, he is the reason I am who I am today.”
Ava…” I have always loved my dad more than anything in this world. He has and always will have a big impact on my life. He is the most genuine and funny person you will ever meet. There was never a moment my dad wasn’t cracking a joke about something. I am going to miss him always and forever. Without him I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I will continue to make him proud every day.”
Americus…” My dad was loved unconditionally by everyone he met. No matter who you were he always accepted you even at your worst. He taught me how to fish, ride a bike, drive my first car, took me on all his adventures and most importantly made me into the women I am today. I will continue to make him proud each and every day and will continue to spread his laughter, jokes and all-around kindness. He will never be forgotten. He will always be not only my dad but my forever best friend.
Barrett…” I will always love you daddy”

I am so sad to hear of Regan's passing. He was always such a great guy and super funny in school. When we happened to see each other later in life, he was still the same, and I know he will be so greatly missed. My condolences and prayers to his family.
