Patricia Rose

Patricia Rose, 94, passed away January 25, 2024. She was born in Pleasantville, on September 9, 1929, the daughter of Earl and Genevieve (Wagner) Juline.
Pat worked for the Des Moines Public School System for over 20 years. Pat and her husband Richard enjoyed camping and traveling with their family. They spent many years wintering in South Padre Island. She was a dedicated Scout mom, and an excellent cook. Pat loved and collected owls. She loved her family and friends above all else. Her loved ones often described her as selfless as she put others before herself. Her and her sisters would enjoy a sister’s weekend where they would go shopping and attend plays. Pat enjoyed spending time with her two best friends, Gloria Lang and Wanda Jensen, over 60 years of friendship included Friday dinners, playing cards, and lunch dates.
Pat is survived by her sons, Michael (Penny) Rose and Jeffrey (Nina) Rose; grandchildren, Alan Rose, Sarah Rose, Evie (Bradley Fischer) Rose and Abby Rose; great grandson, Zachary; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Hall. Along with a host of extended family and beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Rose; siblings, Harriet Hall and Sally (Art) Purdy.
Family will greet guests on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. A service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pat was a wonderful person that welcomed me into her family. Sarah and I would join her for Monday Dancing with the Stars. I always looked forward to her yummy suppers and mouth watering desserts. I will cherish my memories with her and hey beautiful family. Thank you Sarah for bringing me into your family.
