Ouane Chareunsouk, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Ouane was born on March 12, 1950 in Kenthao, Laos.

Ouane lived in Des Moines, Iowa from 1980 to 1997, before moving to Denver, Colorado, where he resided until 2024, and moved back to Des Moines, Iowa. He was an avid fan of Sunday Night Football, especially when the Denver Broncos were playing. Ouane also loved watching WWE wrestling, singing, and spending quality time with his family. One of his lifelong dreams was to hit the lottery so he could take care of all of his loved ones.

Ouane was also a social media king. He was known for going live, posting pictures of his grandkids (especially the ones of them eating with their mouths wide open), and showing off every meal, because the camera always ate first. If he was eating good, the whole world needed to know about it.

Ouane was full of life, laughs, and love. He brought joy wherever he went and knew how to make people smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his stories, his jokes, and his big heart will never be forgotten.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Bounthieng Chareunsouk, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
