Nhy Roeuth

A Life Remembered of her – Nhy (Jeandy) Roeuth-How, age 49 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Nhy was born on March 3, 1974 in Meachy, Cambodia to Bun Roeuth and Min Phan. Nhy and her family came to the United States in October of 1979 and relocated to Des Moines, Iowa where she was raised and educated in the Des Moines Public Schools.

Nhy loved to make people smile, she loved gatherings and making sure everyone was happy. Her presence and smile would light up the room like a shining star, which she did. She loved to travel with her husband and gathering with her friends. Nhy loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren. She was loved by so many people in the Khmer Community and outside as well. You are beautiful inside and outside.

Nhy is survived by her husband, Vong How; daughter, Britney Roeuth-Cavan; son-in-law, Chan Cavan; sons, Andrew Roeuth and Ravy How; grandchildren, Trinity Nguyen, Madden Cavan, Tri Nguyen, Nolan Cavan, Nevin Cavan and Maxwell Cavan; her siblings, Kasim Roeuth, Ty Roeuth and Sy Roeuth.

Nhy “Jeandy” Roeuth-How will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many people who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family will greet guests from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
