Marie Russell, age 53, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 23, 2023. She was born the daughter of Henry and Margaret Russell on January 17, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa. Marie worked for Co-op Solutions as a fraudulent specialist. In her free time, enjoyed drawing and developed a passion for genealogy.

She is lovingly survived by her father Henry Russell, uncle Jim (Sally) Russell, aunt Maryetta Followill, many cousins, and extended family members.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Russell.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, also at the funeral home followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
