Service Details

Michelle Lynn (Jones) Ogle passed away at home surrounded by family on March 19, 2024 at the age of 55 years old after a 10-year battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Grace Church in Des Moines. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 also at Grace Church. Burial will be at Webb Cemetery in Norwalk.

Michelle was born on February 23, 1969 to Carl and Marilyn (Graham) Jones of Norwalk, Iowa. She grew up in Norwalk, Iowa and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1987. On June 16, 1990, Michelle married Kevin Ogle. In the next few years, they welcomed three boys into their family: Colton, Cory, and Christian Ogle.

Throughout the years, Michelle enjoyed many activities- drinking her morning coffee, shopping days, mowing the yard, gardening, and spending time with family- especially her kids and grandkids. She loved the Lord with an unwavering faith, and lived that love as a devoted wife and mother. She was well-known for always being a caregiver and spoiling her family with her wonderful cooking. She was witty and joyfully shared her great sense of humor. As a mom of all boys, she was quick to join in most any plan her boys cooked up, whether that involved riding dirt bikes, looking for deer antlers, or taking pictures with a trophy buck. When cancer began stealing parts of her life, Michelle never lost her joy in the Lord, her Savior. She treasured the promise of her new home in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Ogle; sons Colton (Kayler) Ogle, Cory (Bethany) Ogle, and Christian Ogle; grandchildren Kinzlie, Carson, Kyle, and Kelsey Ogle and Keaton, Grant, Isaac, and Raelynn Ogle; her parents, Carl and Marilyn Jones; her sisters and brother, Melissa McGinley, Angela (Matt) Sherwood, and Michael (Amy) Jones, sisters-in-law, Cristin (Gary) Adams, and Elizabeth Ogle as well as many cousins, great aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family.
