Michael "Mike" Magill

Michael “Mike” D. Magill, 77, passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Hamlin, Iowa to Virgil and Gloria (Ruble) Magill.

Michael was a friend to many and loved by all who met him. He worked in Computer Operations and retired from Ingram Entertainment in 2017. He had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in their activities, sports, and cheered on Iowa State. He liked going to a casino and loved playing cards.

Michael is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Suntken) of Des Moines, Iowa; sons, Eric (Andrea) of Pine Island, MN and Marc (Kristen) of West Des Moines, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Sophia, Harper, Ariel and Eli.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Katie (Tom) Bacon, Beverly (Charles) Watson, Barbara (Ted) Wedemeyer, Patrick (Linda), Kim (Rick) Huss, Terry (Sharlene) and Mitch (Lisa); sister-in-law, Deb (George) Wise and brother-in-law, Robert Langenfeld.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil Jr. and Jeffrey; sisters-in-law, Semoné Magill and Carole Langenfeld.

A Celebration of Life and private burial will be held at a later date.
