I had the pleasure of knowing Mike and working with him for 5 years and also going to school with him. Hard working, big smile, great sense of humor and just an all around incredible human being. I spent some time with him at our last HS reunion and enjoyed reliving the good old days a bit. I'm greatly saddened. My deepest condolences to Betty and the family.

Mike was a classmate at O'Gorman HS in Sioux Falls. Our graduating class of 1970 maintains a Facebook page. The outpouring of wonderful comments regarding Mike as a friend has been overwhelming. Almost every post has a comment on his wonderful smile and, of course, his kindness. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike was one of my best friends when we were in high school. We were football teammates, poker game buddies, and almost constant companions. He was smart, good-humored, and loyal to his family and friends. I am saddened by his passing and I send my condolences to Betty, his daughters and his entire family. A good man who left us too soon.
