Mary Louise Thompson, age 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Bill and Eunice (Dwight) Thompson on June 26, 1939 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Mary was a gifted poet whose love for poetry was evident in every word she wrote. Her passion for the craft was inspiring to many. She was a country girl at heart, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her legacy will live on in the memories of those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Rick Taylor, James Taylor, and Eunice Floyd, grandchildren Adam Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, George Taylor, Anthony Floyd, Amanda Floyd, and Adrian Floyd, and great-grandchildren Garrett, Gauge, Gavin, Aria, Briley, and Anthony.

Sorry to read this about my cousin "Tootie" My mother Colene Brust was one of Aunt Eunie's sisters. Tootie was always fun to be around and I will cherish the memories we shared. Our thoughts are with all her family during this time of difficulty. Know she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
