Mark Leroy Arnburg
Altoona, Iowa

Mark Leroy Arnburg, 60, born December 31, 1963 in Storm Lake, Iowa and currently of Altoona, Iowa died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

He proudly served in the Air Force in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mark greatly enjoyed racing his cars at Eddyville, and was especially happy when they would start! He was an avid gearhead, and was always working on cars. He was specifically fond of Mustangs and Fords. He was an Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed playing poker and watching his neighbors and cousin’s horses’ race at Prairie Meadows. He owned his own construction company and could always find a good deal on anything. He always had a story to tell, and had an inappropriate and sarcastic sense of humor. He loved to watch games shows, and he won the Showcase Showdown on the Price is Right on October 23, 1995.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; his children, Angela Arnburg, Jennifer Minnis (Aubrey), Ryan Pickering and Michael Pickering; father, Gary (Sandy); sisters, Wendi Kaiser, Deborah Ruud and Susan Arnburg and brother, Tom Arnburg (Cora); grandchildren, Keara Bowers, Draco Minnis, Vincent Walters, Kaitlyn Minnis, Halli Pickering and Sidney Minnis; uncles, aunts, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Candace Arnburg and grandparents.
