Luckie Hall, age 83, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice on Monday, December 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Jewell and Audrey Hall on February 9, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Luckie was a devoted family man who loved working with his hands, traveling, camping, and driving. For 25 years, he dedicated himself to his work in maintenance at Acadian Manor, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Belva Hall, children J.R. (Jean) Hall, Tommie (Larry) Hull, John (Dena) Hall, Irene Atkinson, Ava (Patrick) Wells, Frank (Brenda) Hall, and Erma (Brian) McCoy, 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers Frankie (Monda) Hall and Sammie (Mia) Hall, and a host of extended family and friends.

Luckie was preceded in death by his father Jewell Hall, mother and step-father Audrey and Carl Elgin, who his mother married after his father’s passing. He is also preceded in death by his three sisters and his six brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2024 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
