Lennie Ardell Bash, born October 9, 1958 died Sunday September 8, 2024 after a courageous fight with lung cancer.
Lennie was a jokester. Always the one to make a crowd laugh. He enjoyed cooking for his family and cuddling with his grandkids. He worked at Bell Brothers for 32 years after moving back to his home state of Iowa from Arizona in 1991. Lennie will be remembered for his goofy disposition, his love of a good time, and his handyman abilities to fix almost anything. He was a hard worker and took pride in his HVAC knowledge. To know Lennie was to love him and have the privilege of nonstop laughter.
Lennie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sallie Bash. His daughters Jessica Bash, Allison Bash, and Elizabeth (Joshua) Miller. His grandchildren Estelle and Desmond Miller. His siblings Tami Bash, Riki (Jerry) Andrews and Kevin (Patty) Bash and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Lewis and Karen Bash.
A Celebration of Life will be at the American Legion Park, 301 Vine St, West Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, September 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial in Lennie’s name to be designated at a later date.

Sorry Sallie, for loss of Lennie, he was good co-worker at BellBrothers, He also was Project Manager in commercial department, always willing help iron out any problems, had many friends in hvac world, God,Bless, Joe Manning

I have had the pleasure of calling this funny man my friend for over 50 yrs. He was one of a kind. What a huge loss for everyone that was lucky enough to cross paths with him. My deepest sympathies to all his family

My deepest sympathy for Sallie and rest of the Bash family. Lennie was quite the man (and character) one of a kind. He will truly be missed by many friends, which I don't believe Lennie ever knew anybody that wasn't a friend. No more suffering no more pain RIP.

I just want to say Iam so sorry for All of you. Although I didn’t really know Lennie, I knew of him and was an amazing father, hard worker, I’m angry that such a Great Man’s life was cut short. Thinking of you Sallie, and All you Girls and Grandkids and family. Much luv to you all and iam praying for you. Ally luv u girl and I know ur hurting bad. I two were so close. I’m sooo sorry.

We are so sorry to hear of Lennie’s passing. He is suffering no more and is at peace. We enjoyed his many years at Bell Brothers. He was always there to liven things up. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
