Joletta Jean Roberts, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on December 17, 2023. She was born on September 12, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Joletta worked for the State of Iowa as a social worker and retired after 40+ years of service.
She was astounding at crochet work, Joletta could look at something and create it effortlessly. Joletta’s crochet creations included blankets, toys, and clothing, you name it! Everyone in the family has had a special piece made by her that they cherish. She loved more than anything being surrounded by family and looked forward to the holidays, especially Christmas. Joletta leaves a legacy of selflessness, generosity, compassion and grace. She was an extremely devoted sister and aunt that will be deeply missed by her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters Janet Palmer and Jane (Ben) McCord, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Keith and Mildred Roberts, and brother Jerry Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at the Community Church of Christ on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Public visitation will be 1-hour prior beginning at 12:00 PM.

Family asks that memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League due to Joletta’s unwavering love for animals.
