John Walker
December 27, 1942 — July 17, 2024
John Thomas Walker, born December 27, 1942, passed peacefully July 17, 2024.
My wonderful husband and I, Kaylyn Walker, have been married for 62 years. He was a U.S. West communications manager. John retired at age 47 and we had so many fun years up until this July 2024.
He was a man who adored me and our family. Children: Johnny Walker, Kathy (Mark) Bierbaum and Steve (Paula) Walker. When our grandchildren were born John attended all of their births. He had so much fun with Jessica, Cora, Nick and Wyatt as well as his great grandchildren the adorable Lily and Calvin and special niece, Allison Baxter.
Our kids grew up boating at Lake of the Ozarks, Clear Lake, Lake Rathbun and Saylorville Lake. John coached our sons in baseball and hockey. He was understanding when our kids needed it most. He played a great game of ping pong with Johnny and Steve and my brother Sam. Sam and Johnny would often beat John and Steve with various questionable tactics.
A daughter is one of the most precious gifts this world can give and John cherished his time spent with his only daughter Kathy and supported all things she aspired for her future. We will miss his hugs and kisses, his laugh and gentile personality.
Graveside services will be private. Memorials to Animal Rescue League. He was a proud United States Marine. He died with Dignity and Love.
