Johnny Lee Williams
February 12, 1957 — February 14, 2025
Johnny Lee Williams received his wings at the age of 68 on February 14, 2025.
Johnny was born February 12, 1957, in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Johnny Lee Williams, Sr. and Minnie B. Ward. He was raised on the south side of Chicago with the odds against him… as he grew from boy to man, he met his eternal soulmate, Luethel and began their journey together that lasted 50+ years into the afterlife. Johnny was a protector, provider, and big advocator of education. He was a part of the Strangers of the Night Social Club Chapter, known as Doctor Love, sweethearts to the Russian Roulette Bad Girls Social Club. Johnny/Doc/DO enjoyed card games, football, poker, and the casino. He was also an avid chess player. Anything that enhanced the mind, he was for it. He was a man of few but mighty words but you could sense his aura whenever he walked through a room. He was a leader that influenced many on what a man, a father, and a husband should look like. He was very family oriented. Any event that came up he was front and center. For the betterment of his family, Johnny and Luethel decided to continue their journey in Des Moines, Iowa in the early 90s. Johnny traveled the world as owner and operator of his own rig for close to two decades. Johnny will forever be a superhero to his family, executing fatherhood and grandfatherhood, setting examples for his family, leading with structure, love and understanding. All things he self-taught and he was determined to break generational curses. Johnny will be forever loved, respected, and honored. Johnny’s last days were spent surrounded in love by his children and grandchildren, celebrating what would be his last birthday. He enjoyed and indulged a lot with his cake and ice cream.
