Joyce and family,
With sympathy and love on Jim's passing.
I knew Jim a bit through the Story County Democrats. But obviously I didn't know him well -- or i would have known that he rescued and fostered Bichons. (We had Mop, spouse rescued him, for more than 12 years.)

My condolences to Joyce and family but profound gratitude to Jim for all his efforts on my behalf during various political campaigns. A trooper even as health issues arrived. Parades, door knocking, driving and helping in so many ways that I can never repay.
Thank you Jim for your dedication to making this a better world.
Sincerely, Selden Spencer, MD

Joyce and family,
My heartfelt sympathies to you all on the loss of your beloved husband, dad, step-dad, grandpa, etc.
We didn't get a chance to get to know Jim well since he stayed in your apt. here at Windsor Oaks.
I remember driving you 2 several times to restaurants for our outings.
I'll never forget one conversation of someone living with someone with "fringe benefits". I can still hear Jim chuckling on that one.
Last time I saw him and visited him was at our thanksgiving potluck.
I was unaware his health had gone down so fast to the end.
I donated online to SMALLPAWSRESCUE.ORG per your request Joyce.
RIP JIM. You can now walk again enjoying your health fully in heaven.
