James "Jimmy" Wayne Pilcher

James “Jimmy” Pilcher, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle, Iowa.

Jimmy was born September 19, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa to Beryl and Doris (Williams) Pilcher.

He enjoyed listening to music and loved animals, especially dogs. Jimmy also liked going on car rides with his brother, Mike. Jimmy was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his siblings, Mike (Ann) Pilcher, David (Denise) Pilcher, Nancy Pilcher, Karen (Victor) Zajcew, Kenny Pilcher, and Kathy (Randy) Powell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Beryl Pilcher; and his siblings, Pamela Pilcher, Alvin Pilcher, and Harold Pilcher.

Cremation will occur and Jimmy will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
