Jeffrey "Jef" Gahman

Jeffrey Dale Gahman, age 65, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Jef was born on May 21, 1960 to Francis and Sharon Gahman in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jef dedicated many years of his career as a manager at Windsor Windows. Those who knew Jef knew he was very particular and liked to keep things in order. He loved cruising in his Corvette and was a devoted NASCAR fan. An avid coin collector, he also enjoyed attending concerts and visiting Valley Junction for live music. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving son JD Gahman, mother Sharon Gahman, siblings Mike Gahman, Patti (Billy Joe) Gahman-Thrasher, and Timothy (Diana) Gahman, nieces Sam (Adam) Harryman, Nicki Weirich, and her daughter Kaylee, Lynsey (Justin) Letterman, and their children Nathan and Logan, and Brittnay (Nathan) Goodall, and their children Avery and Gunner, nephews Joey (Brooke) Gahman, and their children Natalie and Jade, and Michael (Shaina) Gahman, and their son Waylen, as well as other loving relatives and many special friends.

Jef was preceded in death by his father Francis “Tiny” Gahman.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines.
