Jason Lee Campbell

Jason Campbell was born to Rita Randle and Jerome Campbell on March 10, 2019. Jason passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 5 at Blank Children’s Hospital

Jason is survived by his mom and dad; his siblings, Jakari Coleman, Zaria Randle, Eshmyla Coleman, Zamia Coleman, Shylah Randle, Ja’Zaylah Campbell, Atir Campbell, Ja’Zari Campbell, Jo’Ziyah Campbell and Ja’Heem Campbell; and a host of cousins aunts and uncles and his grandparents

Jason is preceded in death by his sister, Ja’Naila Campbell; his grandmother, Rita Ballard; and his aunt, Roshonda Randle

Jason had a smile that could brighten any day but it was a rare sighting. He was loved everyday of his life and cherished by anyone blessed to know him. Jason was bossy yet sweet and caring. He was a very special boy and even though we were only blessed with him for a short time it was filled with adventures and laughter. Jason loved cars, trucks, and anything Disney. During his life Jason battled sickle cell disease, he was a very strong boy. He was also autistic and he was cherished and loved for his differences, he was truly unique. His beautiful smile and spirit will be greatly missed

Family will be greeting friends at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
