Jaime Exdraz Guzman Cedillo

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Jaime. Jaime Exdraz Guzmán Cedillo, de 29 años, falleció el sábado 22 de marzo de 2025 en el Centro Médico Mercy One de Des Moines. Nació el 3 de noviembre de 1995 en Guanajuato, México.

Jaime se mudó a Estados Unidos hace 11 años y era conocido por su gran ética de trabajo. Conducir mientras escuchaba música durante sus viajes de regreso a Guanajuato para visitar a su familia le llenaba de alegría. Sus hijas eran su vida; le encantaba bailar y jugar con ellas siempre que podía. Su felicidad y amor por su familia eran evidentes para todos, y lo extrañaremos profundamente.

Le sobreviven con cariño su esposa Crystal Guzmán, sus hijas Briana Elena Guzmán y Jaylin Guzmán, su madre Bárbara Elena Guzmán, sus hermanos Juan Carlos Barrientos y Enrique Barrientos, y muchos otros familiares y amigos queridos.

A Jaime le precedieron en la muerte su abuelo Pedro Pérez y su tío Antonio Martínez.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo de 11:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m., y la misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 12:00 p. m. del viernes 4 de abril de 2025 en Nuestra Señora de las Américas, ubicada en 1271 E. 9th St., Des Moines. La familia recibirá a sus amigos en sábado 5 de abril, de 8:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m., en la Funeraria Hamilton's Southtown, ubicada en 5400 SW 9th Street.

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Jaime. Jaime Exdraz Guzman Cedillo, age 29, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on November 3, 1995, in Guanjuato, Mexico.

Jaime moved to the United States 11 years ago and was known for his strong work ethic. Driving while listening to music playing during his trips back to Guanajuato to visit family brought him joy. Jaime’s daughters were his life; he loved dancing and playing with them every chance he got. His happiness and love for his family was evident to all, and he will be deeply missed.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Crystal Guzman, daughters Briana Elena Guzman and Jaylin Guzman, mother Barbara Elena Guzman, brothers Juan Carlos Barrientos and Enrique Barrientos, and many other loving family members and friends.

Jaime was preceded in death by his grandpa Pedro Perez and his uncle Antonio Martinez.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 p.m., Friday, April 4th, 2025 at Our Lady of the Americas, 1271 E. 9th St., Des Moines. The family will greet friends Saturday, April 5th from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines.
