Jack Brickman 68, passed away at his home January 4, 2025.
Jack was born September 17, 1956 in Des Moines to Elwayne and Joanne (Lawrence) Brickman. He worked for General Mills for over 20 years and served as Union Steward for six years. He later went to work for Lucky Trucking in Elkhart as a truck driver. He had a passion for racing. Jack raced at the Eddyville Raceway for many years and he also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He loved getting together with his family and friends especially on the 4th of July, one of his favorite holidays. Jack was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Las Vegas Raiders fan.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Scott) Mulhern; granddaughter, Brooklyn Anderson; sisters-in-law, Dawn Brickman and Diana Brickman; nieces and nephews, Kori Green, Heidi Brickman, Brandi (Bryan) Brickman, Brandon (Kelly) Brickman, Brianna (James) Brickman and Britton Brickman; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kevin Brickman; and his nephews, Nick Brickman and Kaine Brickman.
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

I am sorry for your loss and now using no pain up in the heavens now is in no pain. Jack is a close friend of My parents. Out of all our neighbors he was our favorite one. My condolences 🙏 to you kids

Prayers to the family my deepest sympathy Jack has been my parents neighbors since I was a little girl. I have great memories of Jack he would alway feed our dogs Weimar through the gate he had the best fire work shows and had engines that roared we will miss you Jake and your giggle
