Irma Berneice (Davis) Hohneke
June 22, 1938 — December 21, 2024
Irma Berneice (Davis) Hohneke, 86, passed away on December 21, 2024.
Irma was born on June 22, 1938, to Russell and Cleo (Brittain) Davis in Winterset, Iowa. Irma worked as a secretary for Continental Western Insurance and then for CDS, where she eventually went on to retire. She loved going to Prairie Meadows Casino and her numerous trips with her husband, Marvin, to Las Vegas. Irma also enjoyed drinking Coca Cola and going out for Mexican food. She was also an avid cat lover. Above everything Irma enjoyed in life, her greatest joy was the time she got to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irma is survived by her husband of 62 years and love of her life, Marvin; her daughters, Julie (Mark) Snuffin and Patty (Craig) Steinkamp; her grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany) Steinkamp and Ariel (Wes) White; her great-grandchildren, Emmett Steinkamp, Riley White, and Connor White; her sisters, Delores Hansen and Saundra Funke; her brother-in-law, Darvin (Joann) Hohneke; as well as a host of other extended family and beloved friends.
Irma was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Cleo and Eddie Kirkland; her father, Russell Davis; her son, Gary Hohneke; her sister, Phyllis Mitchell; her brother, Bill Davis; and her sister-in-law, Betty White.
A private graveside service will take place at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Irma.

Marvin and family, we are sorry for your loss but understand that she needed the Great Physician to restore her. Having her as an Aunt was such a pleasure. Her smile was infectious. She made everyone feel special and loved. We will cherish our memories. We love you all. Larry and Kathleen White
