Inhtong Thiravong

Inhtong Thiravong, a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on March 14, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on January 25, 1939, in Laos, Inhtong immigrated to the United States with his family in 1989 in pursuit of a better life. His admiration for his beloved wife, Bounlieng Thiravong, was unmatched. Together, they shared a deep love for dancing, singing, laughter, and raising their children—bringing immense joy to their lives. After Bounlieng’s passing on September 20, 2005, Inhtong continued to honor their love story, cherishing her memory and remaining devoted to her until his final day.

Inhtong is survived by his ten children: Bounchan Thiravong, Phouthasak Thiravong, Phouthasone (Khao) Thiravong, Anousone (Noi) Thiravong, Phanomphone Thiravong, Soudachanh Thiravong, Virasanh Thiravong, Keomany Thiravong, Phoutmanivone Thiravong, and Kate Lin, along with their spouses, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his two brothers and two sisters, who reside in Hungary, Arkansas, Illinois, and France.

Inhtong was preceded in death by his wife, Bounlieng Thiravong, and his eldest son, Phanthalangsy Thiravong.

His legacy of love, resilience, and family will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
