Ida Elaine Beerbower, age 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Des Moines.

Elaine was born August 12, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa to Emery and Anna (Dacken) Rustan. Elaine married the love of her life Albert on September 25, 1971. They were blessed with two children, Sandra and Jeremy. Elaine and Albert were married for 49 years prior to his passing in 2020. She loved her family above all else and was a dedicated wife, mother, nana, and Gigi. She devoted herself to caring for her family and their home.

She enjoyed crafting, traveling with family, reading and preaching the bible to friends and family. She enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family and was always excited for a shopping trip.

She is survived by daughter, Sandra; her son, Jeremy (Maurene); grandchildren, Miranda (Jeff), Kiera (Brandon), Kaiya (Anthony), and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Aryanna, Brennan, Paisley, Javier, and Elaina; and her siblings, Ramona, Rita, Florence, Rose, and Bob.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Beerbower; sisters, Dianna, Kay, and Frances; brother, Danny; and her parents, Emery and Anna.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, and will be followed by cremation.
