Hyang Ingvall

Hyang “Peggy” Ingvall, 86, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.

Peggy was born on May 7, 1938 in South Korea. She had lived in Des Moines since 1969. Peggy retired in 2005 from Bob Allen Sportswear where she had worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of the American Korean Society. Peggy enjoyed watching game shows.

Peggy is survived by her sister, ChoonHee Yi; sons, Robert Ingvall and Eric (Carrie) Ingvall; grandchildren, Mya and Kaylee; brother-in-law, Dick (Debra) Ingvall; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Hurst and Betty Merrifield.

Family will be greeting friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Peggy will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Larry at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
