Gwendolyn Ocheltree
November 12, 1938 — March 11, 2024
Gwendolyn Ocheltree, age 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Wesley Life. She was born the daughter of Rex and Wilma (Brooks) Morgan on November 12, 1938, in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Gwendolyn married Darrell “Gus” Ocheltree on June 11, 1961, in Guthrie Center and to this union four children were born. She was a secretary for her husband’s construction company for many years. Gwendolyn loved reading and watching Chicago Cubs baseball games. She also enjoyed playing board games with her grandchildren and was a stickler for “the rules.” Above all else, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is lovingly survived by her children Tammy (Scott) Tubbs, Jeff (Gina) Ocheltree, and Kim (Rodney) Phillips, grandchildren Gideon (Jennifer) Ocheltree, Paige (Braxton Rutledge) Ocheltree, Sawyer (Megan) Ocheltree, Rielly (Nick) Doud, Josi (Rowan Wick) Ocheltree, Mia (Ben Marsh) Ocheltree, Chantelle Nikkel, and Dannisha (Nick) Pugh, great-grandchildren Brianna, Aira, Oaken, Payton, Amiya, Brooks, and two more on the way, siblings Patricia Towne and John (Lois) Morgan, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving relatives and special friends.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Gus, son Todd Timothy Ocheltree, and grandson Zachary Ocheltree.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Casey Memorial Library which is a 501(c)(3) a nonprofit organization in memory of Gwendolyn.

Tammy, I have wonderful memories of your mom- her smile and laugh and how she would tease us - what are you two up to out in that corn crib! :). I am sorry for your loss- peace to you and all your family.
