Gary Bowers, 75, of Des Moines passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2024 at Mercy Hospital.

He was born on May 23rd, 1948 in Des Moines Iowa. He grew up in Carney Ankeny.

Gary was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend to so many. He was a great lover of animals and would always help all the neighborhood stray, he called all of them his babies. His favorite things to do were fishing and spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by many. Rest in peace, until we meet again.
Gary is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Donald) Brooks and Denise Vazquez; son, Zach Davis; grandchildren, Donald, Jacob, Justin, Ashley, Brandon, and Christopher (Brooks); and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Webb; brother, Loren Bowers; and sister, Vicki Gardner.
