Frederick L. Richardson

Frederick L. Richardson, 51, passed away on November 8, 2024, at Unity Point Taylor House Hospice.

Fred was born on January 12, 1973, to Frederick and Suzan (Davis) Richardson in Des Moines, Iowa. Doctors didn’t believe that Fred would live past the age of seven, in true Fred fashion, he definitely proved them wrong. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1994. Fred was involved with Mosaic, formerly known as Behavioral Technology, facilities that provided care for individuals with disabilities. Gerald Cofie, a Mosaic caregiver, provided care to Fred and hosted him in his home. Fred enjoyed playing with blocks and UNO.

Fred is survived by his mother, Suzan; his sister, Tammy Lynn Richardson; his brother, Jeffery D. Richardson; his nieces and nephews, Kristy Sargent, Jeffrey Sargent, Keely Richardson, and Sean Franklin; and a host of friends and caretakers.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, Frederick.
