Farold Ray Norris

Farold Ray Norris came into this world on May 8th, 1957 to Harold and Lois (Stephens) and died at the Corydon Specialty Care Center in Corydon, Iowa.

Farold grew up in Leon with his brother Eugene, sisters Charlotte, Judy, and Elaine, and Spot the family dog. Mike Wood and Steve Bollic were Farold’s best friends. When they got together, the stories they would tell made you laugh until you cried.

Farold met Mary (Martin) a few months after Mary and her parents moved from Michigan to Leon. They were married on November 26th, 1977 and made their home in Leon and the two of them raised their three daughters Sarah Boecklolt and her son Drake, and daughter Brooklyn, Heather Wright and her daughter Haley, and Rebecca Doll and her daughter Avery.

Drake and grandpa had so much fun together hunting or just to “stop and smell the roses!” Farold’s daughters Sarah, Heather, and Rebecca knew grandpa had a soft spot for Brooklyn, Haley, and Avery. They got to sit in grandpa’s chair and just smile at grandpa.

Farold’s mom, dad, sister Charlotte, brother Eugene, along with Mary’s parents Harold and Betty Martin, and many family and friends have died before Farold.
