Born on June 14, 1975, Felicia was the cherished daughter of Robert Presswood, Sr., and Shirley Gully. Her journey began in Fort Dodge, where she attended Fort Dodge High School and joyously graduated in 1994. She then moved to Omaha, NE where she raised her family for a few years and worked as a supervisor at Marriott. In 2002, she relocated to Des Moines with her family and her passion for knowledge led her to DMACC, where she earned an associate degree, and further pursued her studies at Upper Iowa University, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in human services. Her dedication to her passion for cooking and entrepreneurship led her to owning Heavenly Home Goods and her food truck. She also spent many years working management in retail at Family Dollar, Dollar General, and City Trends.
Felicia was a member of the Bread of Life Church and later joined Amazing Grace Church, faithfully serving as the kitchen manager and Deaconess. Her commitment to her faith was reflected in her love for helping others, whether through church activities or donating to local food banks.
A vibrant spirit, Felicia adored spending time with her family. She delighted in family gatherings while enjoying listening to music and dancing but her passion was definitely cooking. She faithfully prepared her famous potato salad, and radiated warmth and positivity to all who crossed her path. She effortlessly shared good vibes and infectious energy with everyone around her. Honestly she was the realest!!
Felicia is lovingly remembered by her children, Shaniqua Gully, Sharvey Ryan, and Ra'Shawn Ryan; her precious grandchildren, Tashae, Jah'Mauri, Amaria, Damauree, Ra'Shawn Jr., Tahlaya, Alayah, Xayah, and Nova; her father, Robert Presswood, Sr.; and her siblings, Anthony Gully, Brad Gully, Robert Presswood, Jr., Natasha Gully, Damon Gully, Cornelius Gully, and Detria Gully. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends who will miss her deeply.
Felicia was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Shirley Ann Gully; her sisters, Latoya Gully and an infant sister; her brother, Marcus Gully; and her grandparents, Earl and Irene (Clayton) Gully, and Jasper and Merdine Presswood.

“Now is my time to shine; to be myself, to clean the slate. I get to start all over. Renew myself. Be who I want to be. You don’t know the real me; not yet, but you will soon. Now is my time to shine, for me. To be everything I wanted before I was trapped. Now is my time to shine, so look out.”
