Evelyn “Evie” Brodeur, 79, passed away on October 20, 2023 at Harmony West Des Moines. She was born on April 22, 1944 to Joe and Judy Oberg.

Evie was a homemaker while her children were growing up. She then went on to work at Home Appliance in Webster City. Evie loved to work in her flower garden, read and shopping for antiques. She enjoyed action movies, especially if they starred Bruce Willis. But her biggest joy was doting on her grandchildren.

Evie is survived by her sons, Chris, Patrick (Maggie) and Brian (Heather); grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Mitchell, Carter, Bryce, Blake and “little” Brice; sisters, Dianne Heroux and Patricia Reopelle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis and son Dennis Jr.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa.
