Edward LeRoy Danielson
of Des Moines, Iowa

Edward Danielson, age 90, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at The Bridges of Ankeny. He was born the son of Carl and Harriett (Atwell) Danielson on August 17, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Edward proudly served in the United States Army.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Violet Danielson, daughters Carol Townsend and Carlene Hale, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandchild, brothers Raymond Danielson, Jim Hanawalt, and Bill Danielson, and his sister Betty Rinard.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Jennie Danielson, son Carl Edward Danielson, sisters JoAnn Kearnes, Kay Gertsen, Gladys Mirkovich, and his brothers Chuck Douglas, Lawrence, Lyle, and John Danielson.

Per his Edward’s wishes, cremation will occur with no formal services.
