Doris Nadine Grove

Doris Nadine Grove, 83, passed away March 11, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, after a long battle with heart and kidney disease.

She was born August 20, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents, Edgar Owens and Doris Trower.

Nadine is survived by her daughter, LeeAnn Frazier (Darvey) and family; son, Jett Grove (Jacki) and family; brother Jerry Owens (Norma) and family; brother, Roger Owens (Cheryl) and family; sister, Patty Campbell and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Owens, Doris Trower and son, Chad Grove.

Nadine graduated from Dmacc in 1985 with a business occupational degree leading to her 25 year career at Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield.

Nadine will be remembered by her fun and loving spirit. She loved “girls days”, shopping, going to lunch, and having hair & nails done. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports and going to Prairie Meadows. She was a passionate Kansas CIty Chiefs fan. Nadine had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all who have known her.

Per Nadine’s wishes no services will be held.

Any donations can be sent to the ARL as Nadine was a huge animal advocate.

I am saddened to hear of Nadine’s passing. I enjoyed walking around the block and stopping to talk to her or to go to her garage sales. I was sad when she left the southside. I also worked at Blue Cross when she was there. She was a sweet lady. She is now in peace and with her son Chad. RIP Nadine.
