Donna Raye Abell age 92 passed from this life on Friday, February 21, 2025. She passed peacefully and comfortably at the Meadowview Community in Clive, Iowa where she had been a resident. Donna was born in Creston, Iowa on July 26, 1932 to Dale and Beulah Conley.
She met Richard Abell of Creston, Iowa and they were married on May 19, 1948. The couple moved to Des Moines, Iowa and lived in the area raising their family.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Abell and granddaughter Brenda Flack.
Donna is survived by her children, David Abell and wife Dana Abell, Daughter LuJana Abell-Davis, Rick Abell and wife Marcia Abell, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held.

Our family was very sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and we know she is with Jesus and reunited with Richard who was also a very sweet man. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Loved her and Dick so much. She was always so kind, loving and giving to us. Hated she was so far away, even though she was in a lovely place. Have lots of memories. She will be happy to be with Dick again.

We are so very sorry for Donna's passing. Knowing she is with your Dad and home in the arms of the Lord makes it easier. We will miss her. We have so many precious memories of our times with her and your Dad. Playing guitars, singing songs about the Lord. I have some of her poem books that I treasure. You all remain in our prayers.
