Donald “Jerry, Cuz” Woodward, 93, of Des Moines passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Kavanagh Hospice.
Don was born on October 26, 1930 to Donald Woodward and Edna Romine.
He was a proud Army Veteran and joined the Bankers Life Company after his stint with the Army and retired from there. He enjoyed bowling, ping pong, golf, watching all sports and visiting the casinos.
He is survived by his cousins, Sandy (Mike) Mathews of Des Moines, Tammy McDaniel of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Rex (Connie) Howard of Downers Grove, Illinois, Jody Faux and Chuck Faux both of Des Moines, Iowa.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Family will greet guests one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

My condolences to Dons family. I was lucky to have worked with Don for over 30 years. I was also his card playing friend over those years. Don was a very giving person and I considered him a very close and dear friend.
