Donald "Don" Williams

Donald “Don” Williams, 75, passed away September 1, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Don was born December 1, 1947 to Franklin and Luetta (Still) Williams in Fairfield, Iowa. He graduated from Ottumwa High School where he met the love of his life and future wife, Carol. Don retired in 2013 from OSDI, where he had been a sales consultant for many years. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting and going to drag races with his wife. Don was a member and Past Master of Southgate Masonic Lodge #657. He was also a member of the Des Moines Consistory and Scottish Rite.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Carol; and his son, Rob. He is survived by his long-time friends, Randy and Bobbie Boyd; Godchildren, Jamie (Kevin) Johnson and Matt Boyd; along with a host of beloved family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of the donor’s choice in loving memory of Don.

You truly will be missed by all. I will never forget all the great times that I had with you, Carol, and Robbie at Uncle Franks and Aunt Ettas. I will miss hearing all the crazy stories about you and my Dad growing up. You have always been that cousin that has a way of making everyone laugh and smile. We will always hold our great memories and experiences with you in our hearts forever.
