Wish we'd known that we came from the same area. Sounds like we had parallel lives a year apart. I just know I made sure you got your rock shirts back from laundry. Weird you and my bud Ron Long were room mates. You travelled a lot if the same terrain. And we had no idea. One of the halloween plates is still on the wall.😎Rest in peace.

Damn... where to begin
I can still picture the day Denny and I first met. There was some kid I didn't know in our back yard and I went chase him off. Ended-up being Denny, looking for his dog, Ely. I was probably 8, Denny 7. It was the start of a great friendship that lasted until our early teens. All the time spent jumping our bikes... riding to 'the trails'... riding our bikes a couple miles up SE 14th so we could zip alongside the traffic starting at Park Avenue... listening to Black Sabbath, Ozzy, AC/DC, Kiss.. somehow not killing ourselves or catching anyone's house on fire tearing apart shotgun shells to get gunpowder to put in Estes rockets... trips to his grandparents so we could go fishing at a nearby pond...
Unfortunately we drifted apart in our teens. I saw Denny a couple times in the 90s when I'd be at my parent's house in the Plaza. Wondered how he'd been since. Tried reaching out to find him a couple of times in the past decade with no luck.
RIP Denny. Hope you found some peace.
